Morris Site Machinery has revealed it has more than 100 SMC portable lighting towers in production for Australia to meet the first stage of a major order from Coates Hire.

The leading British manufacturer, which has been doing business in Australia for more than 15 years, has secured a three-year contract with the firm.

The partnership will see it supply SMC TL90 Ultimate Extra Low Voltage lighting towers with anti-glare HALO lamp heads and the compact and highly transportable SMC SL80 Pallet LED.

Phil Winnington, International Business Director, said: “The lighting towers start landing in August for use across all territories for night working and events.

“This latest deal with Coates Hire underlines the SMC approach to business worldwide. We listen to and work closely with customers to innovate and develop products that are built to perform in their markets.

“We are working to build more partnerships in Australia where our SMC brand has proven it can deliver in demanding terrain and climates while meeting health and safety requirements and the need to be more sustainable and environmentally aware.”

The Coates Hire relationship has grown over seven years. For the past two years Morris Site Machinery has worked directly alongside the team at Coates Hire, from the branch network to boardroom.

SMC equipment, with QR codes to assist in safe set-up, lights up sites throughout Australia. The SMC TL90 Ultimate ELV, used on highways and rail projects for example, has a running time of 265 hours and a super silent operation at only 61.5dB(A) at seven metres.

The SMC SL80 Pallet LED is a static eight metre mast lighting tower with four 320W LEDs powered by a Kubota Z482 engine. It also has a run time of 265 hours and extended service times.

The latest additions to the SMC range, the SMC TL90 Evolve lighting tower and the SMC TL60 Solar Trolley light, were given a positive reception when they made their Australian debut at HIRE19.

Morris Site Machinery was on a stand at the key hire and rental trade show with its trusted service partner Access Service Australia.
